East London’s Cody Dockers

Cultivated by 15,000 volunteers since 2014, Cody Dock restores connections to the local environment and Canning Town’s heritage. Our community workshops and gardens are based on the banks of the River Lea at London’s only remaining brick-lined dock. One way we empower our communities to nurture their local spaces is through ecological surveying, like the Beer & Bats observation sessions we hold each month at twilight. Other events focus on restoration as we wade into the river to clean the pre-industrial reed beds.
